Cleanse Us From Our Sin and All Unrighteousness
1 John 1:9. If we choose not to confess sins and not accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we cannot have a loving relationship with God. It does not matter to God why we choose not to confess our sins, be it out of ignorance, self-righteousness, or just a continuous desire to sin and be disobedient to God. God requires our total surrender to Him. God desires and requires that we confess sins and our sin nature. He requires that we confess that Jesus Christ's action on the cross enable God to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:8,9, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.").
BIBLE SCRIPTURE: 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
