How Do Christians Prepare For Revival?

2 Chronicles 7:14 Christians prepare for a revival with God in the same manner that God has instructed those before us. This is well documented in the Bible, specifically in 2nd Chronicles 7:14. Here God instructed Solomon in regard to the temple and what the Israelites needed to do to be in right relationship with him. God said to Solomon in 2 Chronicles 7:14 the following, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” These are the steps for Christians to prepare for a revival with God.

The first step to revival is to humble ourselves before God. We as Christians need to realize in our heart of hearts what an awesome God he is to us. Next step toward revival is for us to pray, talk to God. He is a real person and he is our source for guidance and blessings. The next step toward revival is for us to seek God’s face. He desires for us to show him that we love him and seek him earnestly. The last step in preparing for revival is for us as Christians to turn from our wicked ways. The Bible has instructed us what is right and what is wrong. For us to come into the presence of God, we need to be clean and not be wallowing in our sin. God cannot be in the presence of sin. Once a Christian assembly goes through these steps, they are ready for revival and God will come to revive them. It is one of his promises.
