Definition of Perfection - Mankind Can Be Perfect in God
2 Corinthians 7:1. The definition of perfection includes "completely suited for a particular purpose - completely corresponding to a description, standard, or type". From a Christian perspective, this definition of perfection means that perfection is all about us being holy. God has made us for His purpose to be holy and worship Him. Through the Bible He has given us His promises and standards to guide us in our daily lives. His Bible teaches us how to be without sin (to be obedient). He desires for us to line up with His standards and to be perfect and holy. To do this we need to yield to Him and cleanse ourselves from sin, both physically and spiritually. Being in perfect holiness is our way to honor God and fulfill His purpose in our lives (2 Corinthians 7:1, "Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God").
2 CORINTHIANS 7 BIBLE SCRIPTURE 2 Corinthians 7:1, "Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."
