Respect For Children
Colossians 3:21. God expects us to have respect for children. Parents are here to encourage children, and not provoke them (Colossians 3:21, "Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.").God gives honor to all of mankind (Psalms 8:5) to include children. We must show the same respect for all of mankind to include respect for children. God has made the sons of man only "a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour...God has given the sons of man dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet" (Psalms 8:4-6, "What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:"). We must encourage and have respect for children, the sons of man.
