The Bible Tells Us Not to Let Our Anger Turn to Sin
Ephesians 4:26. The Bible tells us that anger is not a sin, but most anger causes us to sin. Ephesians 4:26 says, “Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:”. Anger is a violent emotion that can cause you to do something contrary to God. If you just mindlessly follow your anger it can lead to hate, mayhem, destruction of property, destruction of relationships, reinforce self-pride, and it can even lead to physical harm and death of another person. Anger coupled with sin is what the Bible tells us to avoid. All of us will get angry on occasion. When we do get angry, do not let it go off like a wild fire. We must check our anger and look to God for guidance on how to direct our anger. God will always show us the way so that we do not have to sin.
