Galatians 5

The Nine-fold Fruit of the Spirit

Galatians 5:22-23. The fruit of the Spirit consist of nine characteristics. These nine characteristics are evidence that the Holy Spirit is working in a person, and that through Jesus, God has made that person righteous.

The Lack of Beliefs and Values Bring Out the Works of the Flesh

Galatians 5:21. It is human nature that if our beliefs and values are weak or non-existent, we will manifest the works of the flesh. Galatians 5:19-21 identify the works of the flesh. They are “...

Human Kindness Starts With Freeing Yourself From Vanity, Strife, and Envy

Galatians 5:26. Having human kindness includes being friendly, generous, and having a warm heart. To have human kindness you must be free of habits that do not promote warm, friendly relationships. Many Christians can get caught up in religious routines such as going to church, giving to the poor, using religious sayings, and so on. These good works can start to substitute for our faith in God. Lack Of Commitment Is A Sign Of A Bad Relationship

Galatians 5:13. When one or both partners in a relationship lack commitment, this is a sign of a bad relationship. Many of us that are married may have the opportunity to commit adultery, but that does not mean that we should do it.

The Bible says that Adultery is a Work of the Flesh

Galatians 5:19. When you read the Bible, it tells you that adultery is a work of the flesh and a terrible thing. On the other hand, most societies do not consider adultery a crime. Things like littering and illegal parking are a crime, but not adultery. The Bible lumps adultery right in there with murder, heresies, and other works of the flesh.
