Genesis 1 Bible Commentary - In The Beginning
Summary of Genesis 1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. The spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. God said, Let there be light, and there was light. God said, Let there be firmament, and God made the firmament. And God said let the dry land appear, and it was so. And God said let the earth bring forth grass, herb, and fruit trees, and it was so. And God said, let there be lights in the firmament, and it was so. And God said, let there be moving creatures in the water and fowls of the air, and it was good. And God said let there be living creatures, creeping things, and beasts of the earth, and it was so. And God said, let us make man in our image, and so God created him; male and female created he them. God blessed them, and said be fruitful, subdue the earth, have dominion over the sea, and over the fowl of the air. And God saw everything, and it was good. Genesis 1 Biblical Advice and CommentaryGen 1:1: I Believe In The Father Almighty Maker of Heaven and Earth. (Apostles' Creed) God, Our Creator
CreationGen 1:11: First Law of Sowing and Reaping: Sowing in Kind, Reaping in Kind. The laws of sowing and reaping are just as real as the laws of gravity. The first law of sowing and reaping is if you sow in kind, then you reap in the same kind. When God created the earth he told of plant life sowing in kind and reaping in kind. See Scripture Commentary: Genesis 1:11 advises us that God brought forth plant life that yields seeds and fruit after its kind. Gen 1:27: Who is Adam and Eve? God Created Them in His Own Image. Adam and Eve were created by God as male and female in the image of God. Other creatures were created male and female, but only Adam and Eve were created in the image of God. In Genesis 1:27 advises us that God created man is his own image. The Creation of Adam
Gen 1:28: Who is Adam and Eve? They Were Given Dominion Over All Earthly Things. Adam and Eve were the first humans who were charged by God to have dominion over all earthly things. God had also blessed the living creatures to be fruitful, and multiply, but God only gave Adam and Eve the responsibility to have dominion over all earthly things. In Genesis 1:28 tells us God blessed Adam and Eve, told them to multiply, and have dominion over all living things that were upon the earth. Gen 1:31: In The Beginning Mankind Did Not Need To Be Redeemed. To understand the redemption definition, we must understand that at one time we were in fellowship with God. We were not separated from God. There was no need for redemption. There was no sin in the world. See Scripture Commentary: Genesis 1:31 advises us that on the sixth day of creation God called everything good. |
