Reaping the Whirlwind – You Get What You Give
Hosea 8:7. If you do not put your resources to work as God’s good stewards, you will reap the whirlwind. If you are always chasing after “free stuff” (gambling, lottery, scams, stealing, always borrowing, and so on), you are sowing into the wind. If you sow into the wind, you will get what you give. You will reap a whirlwind. There are exceptions where someone wins a lottery or wins at gambling, but in this case they will reap the whirlwind in their personal life. The wife will leave them or even sue them. They will spend all their money on bad investments and frivolous goods. In the end, the unrighteous will end up in hell (Hosea 8:7, “For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up”).
