God Gives Us Knowledge That He Can See the Future to Gain Our Trust and Faith

John 16:4. God can see into the future. It is important to Him that we know and have faith that he can see the future. This knowledge that what God says about the future is true becomes the essence of our faith. If we read in the Bible that God promised something and then it becomes true, then this becomes the evidence for our faith in God. We become to believe in God and that all His promises will come true. We become to believe in God's son, Jesus Christ, because of our faith in God.

Jesus many times spoke about things such as His resurrection that did not make sense when he first said it. It was when it became true that His message was understood and faith was reinforced because of what He said as well as He being able to see in the future (John 16:4, “But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you”).
