Devotional: We Shall All Be Resurrected - Either to Eternal Life or to Damnation

John 5:29, "And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation."

Jesus Tells Us that the Resurrection Means that He has the Power and Authority Over Our Lives

John 5:29. Before Jesus’ resurrection from the dead he revealed to the world the meaning and significance of his power of resurrection. In John 5:24-29 Jesus tells us that he, the Son of God, has the power and authority over our eternal lives. This power is most evident in he, Jesus, having the power to pass from death till life.

The Birth Of A Born Again Christian

John 5:24. A person becomes a born again Christian when they accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. You accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior by hearing His word and accepting that you are a sinner, and you have been disobedient of God. As sinners we need salvation to save us from God’s wrath toward our sin and disobedience of Him.
