A Father's Authority Comes From God
Matthew 15:4. The Bible tells us that a father's authority comes from God. Matthew 15:4 says, “For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.” A father's authority consist of his children respecting him, submitting to him, and supporting him. Father's may sometimes not be perfect, but we must honor the special authority that God has given our fathers. We must respect their position and authority. If our father tells to do something, we need to submit to his authority. Because of his position as father, we must support him in deeds and not just with our lips. If we do not honor our father, we cannot be expected to be blessed by God.
