Christian Brethren Are Responsible for Treating Strangers With Brotherly Kindness
Matthew 25:40. In Matthew 25 the Bible teaches us that Christian brethren are to treat everyone (strangers) with brotherly kindness. Christians are not an exclusive club where Christian brethren should treat fellow brethren with more kindness than strangers. This is regardless if the stranger is a Christian brethren or not (Matthew 25:40, “And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me”).

It is not a Christian's job to judge people as whether they are a Christian or not. Christian brethren have the responsibility to have faith in Jesus Christ, minister God's truth, and treat everyone with kindness. God will judge each person as righteous (the sheep, the brethren) or as cursed (the goats, the wicked).
One reason God will judge (know) that a person is not a brethren (a Christian) is because they were not kind to others (Matthew 25:45, "Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me"). These individuals God curses and calls goats (Matthew 25:41. “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:”.
