Trust and Love - Trust God First
Micah 7:5. In human relationships, trust and love do not go together. This is evident from Department of Justice crime statistics where a large number of violent crimes are committed against love ones. For example, two-thirds of children under five are murdered by a close relative. 74 percent of women are robbed by someone they know. The Bible is clear; trust God and not man. The Bible says do not even trust your love ones in your own house: your son, your daughter, your daughter-in-law, and so on (one exception, trust your wife - see Proverbs 31:11. We are suppose to love everyone, but absolute trust is reserved for God (Micah 7:5-7, "Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom. For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house. Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me"). God is the only one that can fulfill all His promises. God is the only one without sin. Humans fall short and are not capable of fulfilling all their promises and will easily fall into sin. Most of us have good intentions, but only God can be absolutely trusted to fulfill all His promises.
