Stop Anger At Its Source By Controlling Your Spirit
Proverbs 16:32. All of us have trouble controlling our anger at one time or another. The way to stop anger is to control it within and not just suppress it from displaying outwardly to others. Proverbs 16:32 says, “He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.” This proverb really stresses how important it is for us to rule our spirit. It is better to conquer and have self-control of our spirit within than to conquer our enemies without. When we feel anger bubbling up inside of us, we need to look at the source of the anger, and see if this anger lines up with the word of God. Through reflection and seeking God's guidance, we can control and even eliminate anger that is within us.
