Avoid Conflict By Humbling Yourself

Proverbs 17:19. To avoid conflict with the people around us, we need to first address the source of the conflict that dwells in us. It is the sin in us that causes conflict with the people around us. When you are out of relationship with God and disobedient to God, our sinful acts also creates conflict with others. If we steal from someone, this sinful act will not avoid conflict. If we lie to someone or lie about someone, this sinful act will eventually not avoid conflict. If we are prideful and exalt ourselves above others, this sinful act will not avoid conflict. Sin and transgressions against God go hand in hand with strife and conflict with others (Proverbs 17:19, “He loveth transgression that loveth strife: and he that exalteth his gate seeketh destruction”). God desires for us to submit and humble ourselves to Him. Through our Christian humility, we can also avoid conflict with others.
