Protecting Angry Person From Their Own Actions Will Not Effectively Deal With Anger
Proverbs 19:19. It is challenging dealing with a friend that is continuously getting into trouble because of their anger. They get into fights; they get fired; they get arrested; they lose good will with everyone that is around them. As a friend you think the right thing to do is bail them out every time they get into trouble.
The Bible on the other hand gives you some different advice. Proverbs 19:19 says, “A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver him, yet thou must do it again.”
In many cases if you continuously help an angry person that gets into trouble, you are just setting the person up again to get into trouble because of their anger. It is good to be compassionate to others, but at the same time people need to learn from the consequences of their actions. An angry person needs to suffer the consequences of their actions in order to truly see the error of their ways. This will help them to turn away from their evil ways and turn to God.
