Define Delusions - The Cares Of This World Cause You To Forget God
Proverbs 30:9. You can define delusions as ignoring truth or unknowingly living out a lie. Many people do this when following a purpose in their lives that is contrary to God. From a Christian perspective, the real truth is that we are here for God’s purpose and that He will provide for our needs. By us getting caught up in the cares of this world, both the rich and the poor among us replace God’s truth with a lie. The rich get deluded into thinking that they can provide for themselves, and they soon forget God. The poor will delude themselves into taking matters into their own hands and steal to provide for themselves forgetting God is their provider. All of this is vanity and lies that delude many of us in our day-to-day activities (Proverbs 30:8-9, “Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.”).
BIBLE SCRIPTURE: Proverbs 30:9, "Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain."
