The Strong Leader – A Father Characteristic

Psalm 127:4. Another characteristic of a father is that he be a strong leader that trains and guides his children. Through a fathers training and guidance, his children become obedient and fruitful to do the Lord's will. Well brought up children make a father stronger by their obedience and their fruitfulness in the Lord.

Psalm 127:4 says, “As arrows are in the hand of a might man, so are children of the youth.” When fathers and children are in right relationship, both the father and his children grow stronger. The father is like a skilled archer who gets better and better each day to become a more powerful archer. When a father is a strong leader, his children are like arrows that fly true and hit their mark in life.
