If The Lord Is Our Shepherd, Why Do We Lack?
Psalm 23:1. The 23rd Psalm say, "The Lord is our shepherd. We shall not want." If this is true, why do we lack? The reason we lack is that we do not really believe God's promises and we are not obedient to Him. God's promises are offered to all that accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. If we truly believe in God's promises, we will lack no good thing.

Like a shepherd, the Lord sustains life and protects life. Because we are His good sheep having faith in the Shepherd, He will let us lack no good thing. All we need to do is be a good, faithful sheep. A good sheep believes in the Shepherd, stays close to the Shepherd, continually listens for His guidance, and obeys his word. If the Lord is our shepherd, we shall not want (Palms 23:1, "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want").
