The Benefits When You Have Respect For Parents, Children, and God

Psalms 84:11. There are many benefits to having mutual respect for parent, respect for children, and respect for God. If we have a respectful relationship with God, our Father of glory will give us wisdom and revelation of truth (Ephesians 1:17, "That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:"). God will give us every good thing if we are in right relationship with Him (Psalms 84:11, "For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly."). In turn, parents in their respect for children should provide wisdom and good things to their children. For children that obey their parents, they will benefit from their parent's wisdom and the good things that their parents provide them. The Bible also says that children's respect for parents will result in a long life (Ephesians 6:1-3). Only sin and a lack of Jesus prevents us from having right parent-child relationships and enjoying the benefits of these relationships.
