The Bible Tells Us Not to Be Led By Our Anger

Romans 2:8. The Bible tells us that there are terrible consequences of being led by our anger. Romans 2:8-9 says, “But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath. Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil ...”. The Bible is telling us that acting out in self-righteous anger is a sin to God, and it will have its consequences.

Most anger is based on our self-righteousness. We get anger because someone is threatening our pride or they are aggravating us. Our anger is based on our own self-interest without any consideration of God. It is a sin when we disregard God and act out in anger with our own self-righteousness.

ROMANS 2 BIBLE SCRIPTURE Romans 2:8 says, “But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath.”
