God's Free Gift of Justification that Saves Us From the Consequences of Our Sin
Romans 5:16. Even though we have inherited a sin nature, all is not lost. God loves us. The challenge is that even though God loves us, He is a righteous God that by His nature must be separated from sin. Because of God's righteousness nature, He must destroy and punish sin. The question is how can God punish and destroy the sin in us, but still have a loving, eternal relationship with us. The answer to God reconciling with us, sinful mankind, was that He has offered us a free gift. This gift is His Son, Jesus Christ, who substituted Himself on the cross to be punished for our sin nature. God's loving act enable mankind to be justified and in good standing with God (Romans 5:16, "And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification").
ROMANS 5 BIBLE SCRIPTURE: Romans 5:16, "And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification."
