Christian Marriage Relationships Are A Life-Long Commitment
Romans 7:2. The Bible is clear that a Christian marriage relationship is a life-long commitment (Romans 7:2, “For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.”). As a Christian you freely enter into a marriage relationship in the same manner that you freely committed your life to Christ. When a marriage couple makes the marriage commitment it is a commitment of unconditional love for as long as both the marriage partners live. To God marriage is a loving, life-time commitment that is only broken by death or in the case of adultery (see Matthew 15:34 for more of marriage and adultery).
