Throw Off Feelings of Being Inadequate by Taking on a New Spirit

Romans 7:6. Most feeling of being inadequate are based on us trying to live up to rules that we were not called to fulfill by ourselves. If you have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ there is no reason to feel inadequate. We are delivered from all of our inadequacies, imperfections, and our sins through Christ. Romans 7:6 says, “But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.”

Jesus Christ offers to all of us deliverance from our inadequacies and sins that fall short of the glory of God. Without Jesus Christ we do not have forgiveness of our sins nor the power to fulfill our calling in life. Through Jesus Christ we are delivered from the laws and the rules that because of our sinful nature we can never perfectly obey. Through Jesus Christ we can serve God in a newness of spirit that offers grace and the power to fulfill our purpose in life. Only through Jesus Christ can we throw off our inadequacies and be perfect in the eyes of God.
