Secret Sins Revealed Through the Holiness of the Ten Commandments
When we feel guilty about a secret sin that we have, our reaction should not be to suppress the knowledge of our sin and to think that God's commandments are the source of our troubles. God's commandments are holy and are not bad. The problem is that God's commandments reveal to us our sin, and this is a very painful experience (Romans 7:7, “What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet”). The answer to our knowledge of sin is to ask God for forgiveness, and to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
