No External Force or Creature Can Separate Us From God

Romans 8:39. We are only separated from the love of God due to our own actions. We cannot blame our severed relationship with God on demonic forces, other people, our heritage, or our environment. If we are not in unity with God, we are separated from God because of our sin and disobedience to God. Yes, we have a sin nature whose tendency is to be disobedient to God, but God has given us a way of salvation so that we can be reconciled back to him. The way of salvation is his Son, Jesus Christ. All we have to do is repent, and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

Paul tells us in Romans 8:38-39 that he is convinced that nothing and nobody can “separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39, “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord”). It is our faith in Jesus Christ that keeps us united with God now and into eternity. We no longer have to be separated from God. This is true no matter what the “world” tells us or what deceit and lies that demonic forces may present to us in our day-to-day walk with Christ.
