Psalm 127:4. Another characteristic of a father is that he be a strong leader that trains and guides his children. Through a fathers training and guidance, his children become obedient and fruitful to do the Lord's will. Well brought up children make a father stronger by their obedience and their fruitfulness in the Lord.

Romans 7:19: A major difference between a Christian and a non-Christian is a Christian knows the difference between good and evil. Knowing the difference between what God considers good and what He considers evil is the first step to becoming a Christian. The challenge for Christians is that the knowledge of good and evil does not save a person from sinful desires and consequences of sin.

Romans 7:18. As a Christian matures a struggle persists between the desire to good and the evil that continues to be present in the flesh.

Romans 7:16. If you come to the conclusion that you are a slave of sin, you are half way there to finding your salvation through Jesus Christ. As an acknowledged slave to sin you know what is good and you agree that it is good. The problem is that by yourself you do not have the power to break the bonds of sins.

Romans 7:15. Many of us are slaves to sin. For those that are slaves to sin, some know it, some deny it, and others do not even realize that they are slaves to sin. For those that realize that they are slaves to sin, it is a perplexing situation. You may realize that you are a drunk and that it is bad for you to keep on drinking, but you drink any way.

Romans 3:20. If you have a secret sin in your life, do not think that your good works will make up for that sin. God is clear in the Bible on what sin is and the consequences of sin.

Bible Summary. Church offerings and alms giving must not be motivated by pride or the desire for recognition. Christians should be known for their good works and alms giving just as Jesus is known for his good works. By sacrificing something we hold valuable such as our money or our time, we are acknowledging that God is first in our lives.

Romans 13:12. Too many of us are gripped by the power of darkness. The evil that we do is evident that we are under the power of darkness. Our works are full of strife, envy, immoral living, and focused on fulfilling the works of the flesh.

Titus 3:5. Because we are all sinners, we must all ask God for mercy to restore and to have an eternal relationship with God. None of us our perfect and we all fall short of the glory of God. For us that are religious, it is easy to start thinking that by our righteous works that we can be in right standing with God. No, this is not the answer to our salvation.

Bible Summary. Jesus enables us to give to people that ask for help. Many people are crying out and saying help me from injustice, but what is our response? When we meet people with physical needs, do we seek ways to help them? Are we fair to people in every area of our lives? Do we treat everyone equally?

Luke 4:18. The power of the Holy Spirit is provided to us for a purpose. The Holy Spirit's power is given to us to do good works. Being under the power of the Holy Spirit is a wondrous feeling that empowers us to do great things.

Bible Summary. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior we are a new man. The new man is in continual relationship with God. A new man knows God and is in constant fellowship with God. James 1:20. The Bible tells us that when anger overcomes us, we have lost touch with God. James 1:20 says, “For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.” Anger is not an end in itself. When we let anger control us, we are no longer honoring God first in our lives.

2 Timothy 2:21. A passion for life comes from fulfilling your purpose in life. Because God is your Creator, seek Him to find your purpose and passion in life. Because most of us do not seek God nor His purpose for our lives, we become dishearten, dispressed, self-destructive, bored, tired, double-minded, and aimless when going about our daily activities.
