No matter if we are a small business owner or a factory worker, God has a calling on our life. What is key is that we seek God for our calling in our life, and then excel in it.
The Bible is a guidebook that instructs Christians on what to do. The Bible teaches us about Christian virtues by providing us both good and bad examples of human behavior.
WHEN JESUS PRICKS OUR HEART
THE BLESSINGS OF HARD WORK
Genesis 3:19. In the beginning Adam and Eve did not know death. They only knew life in the garden of Eden. Life was good and with no expectation or knowledge of death. Adam and Eve only became to know death when they sinned against God. One of the curses they received for their sins was a death sentence.
Genesis 2:15. As the first of humanity, God placed Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden to keep care of it (Genesis 2:15, "And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it"). They did not own the garden of Eden, but they had dominion over it. They were both responsible for its care as well as the beneficiaries of its abundance.
Ephesians 1:11. God’s will is for us to be blessed with an eternal inheritance due to us being his adopted children. God has always had a plan for our lives through the works of Jesus Christ. Through Jesus Christ we are God’s children. Because God loves us as his children he has an inheritance for us that includes eternal life and eternal relationship with him.
