Show Christian Patience To Others As Christ Has Shown Patience To Us
Colossians 3:12. Jesus showed us how to have Christian patience while He was on this Earth. Instead of us getting impatience with others, Jesus teaches us to forgive others just as He has forgiven us. The Bible tells us to put on the character of Jesus which includes having mercy on others, being kind to others, staying humble, staying meek, and endure long-suffering just as Jesus did while on this Earth (Colossians 3:12-13, “Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye”).
COLOSSIANS 3 BIBLE SCRIPTURE Colossians 3:12, “Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;”
Christian Need Patience For Ministry and To Set The Example
2 Corinthians 6:4. Christians need patience to minister to people. Patience is needed both to make sure we do not offend anyone when ministering and to assure that we set a good Christian example. Ministry today can be a test of endurance just as it was in the days of the Apostle Paul. Ministering the Gospel can many times result in afflictions, lacking basic necessities, dangers, beatings, imprisonment, volatile situations as well as requiring just a lot of hard work, vigilance, and fasting (2 Corinthians 6:3-5, “Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed: But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;”).

Christian Patience Enables Unity and Peace
Ephesians 4:2. All Christians need patience to be able to do the Lord's will. God has called all Christians to minister the Gospel and this must be done in unity and peace. No matter how much you desire a family member or acquaintance to receive the Good News of Jesus Christ, it cannot be done by force. It can not be done in strife. We must have patience with people and minister to them in peace and unity. Christianity is a vocation that God has called us to minister the Gospel. The Bible tells Christians that they must “... walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace" (Ephesians 4:1-3).
EPHESIANS BIBLE SCRIPTURE Ephesians 4:2, “With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;”
