Zechariah 13:1. A revival is a time of cleansing for Christians. When we enter into God’s presence during a revival, we cannot be anything but cleansed of our sin. God’s holiness and grace overcomes us and cleanses us of our sin. A true Christian revival causes us to be refreshed and renewed as a result of being in the presence of God’s holiness.
4th Step to Spiritual Revival - Accepting God’s Grace and Cleansing
Isaiah 6:7. Upon repentance of sin, the forth step to spiritual revival is accepting God’s grace and cleansing. Yes, God can cleanse a evil heart. No one is past redemption, and at the same time everyone needs redemption.
Godly Fear Preserves us From Evil
Proverbs 16:6. It is godly fear that enables us to depart from evil and the terrible effects of sin. Because of our sin nature that we inherited from our forefathers beginning with Adam and Eve, we all are in danger of the deadly effects of sin. Many of us, the unsaved, do not realize the terrible consequences of sin nor that there is a Savior that can deliver us from this curse.
Seeking Perfection Without God Leads to an Unhappy Life
Proverbs 20:9. Many people seek perfection in everything that they do . Most perfectionists lead very unhappy lives because perfection is impossible without God. Only God is perfect. Proverbs 20:9 says, “Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?”.
Passion for Life Comes From Fulfilling God's Purpose
2 Timothy 2:21. A passion for life comes from fulfilling your purpose in life. Because God is your Creator, seek Him to find your purpose and passion in life. Because most of us do not seek God nor His purpose for our lives, we become dishearten, dispressed, self-destructive, bored, tired, double-minded, and aimless when going about our daily activities.
A Passion for Jesus Comes From a Purified Heart
James 4:8. How can you have a passion for Jesus unless this passion consumes you?
