Deal With Anger By Responding With Softness.

The Bible clearly tells us not to fight anger with anger. Dealing with someone’s anger with anger eventually leads to physical violence. Physical violence is not the answer to an angry situation. Proverbs 15:1 advises us that a soft answer will turn away anger.

Proverbs 15:1, “A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

Saving an Angry Person From Their Own Actions Will Not Effectively Deal With Anger.

In many cases if you continuously save an angry person from getting into trouble, you are just setting the person up again to get into trouble because of their anger. It is sometimes best if an angry person suffers the consequences of their actions in order to truly see the error of their ways. This will help them to turn away from their evil ways and turn to God, Proverbs 19:19 advises us to avoid saving an angry person from their own actions as this will just encourage them to do it again.

Proverbs 19:19, “A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver him, yet thou must do it again.”

Deal With Anger By Forgiving Transgressions.

The best way to deal with most anger is by thinking before acting. Most anger is driven by pride and selfishness. God honors us when we are able to forgive others and look over their transgressions. Proverbs 19:11 advises to us to defer our anger and not to just react to it.

Proverbs 19:11, “The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.”
