Throw Off Feelings of Being Inadequate by Taking on a New Spirit

Romans 7:6. Most feeling of being inadequate are based on us trying to live up to rules that we were not called to fulfill by ourselves. If you have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ there is no reason to feel inadequate. We are delivered from all of our inadequacies, imperfections, and our sins through Christ.

Protecting Angry Person From Their Own Actions Will Not Effectively Deal With Anger

Proverbs 19:19. It is challenging dealing with a friend that is continuously getting into trouble because of their anger. They get into fights; they get fired; they get arrested; they lose good will with everyone that is around them. As a friend you think the right thing to do is bail them out every time they get into trouble.

A Passion for Jesus

Bible Summary. As long as we are close to Jesus, we will have a passion for Jesus. A passion for Jesus only overtakes us when we have an extraordinary encounter with Him. We must continue to purify our heart to stay in relationship with Jesus. A relationship with Jesus is an extremely passionate relationship.

Overcoming Guilt

Bible Summary. When you are in sin you can hide your sin from others, but you cannot hide it from God. You cannot overcome your guilt by hiding your sin from God. To overcome guilt you must first be conscience of your sin, then confess your sins to God, and lastly provide a sin offering to God.

The Difference Between Guilt and Shame

2 Corinthians 7:10. The Apostle Paul advises us on what the difference is between guilt and shame in his second letter to the Corinthians. In 2 Corinthians 7:9-10, Paul refers to the harshness of his first letter to the Corinthians where he had advised them that they needed to change their ways as Christians.

Resisting Temptation By Asking God for Deliverance

Matthew 6:13. By us earnestly praying the Lord's Prayer we can resist temptation. The Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6 provides us a prayer that we can use to ask God to deliver us from temptation. Matthew 6:13 is the key scripture reference for asking God for deliverance.

Judge Not Lest You Are God

James 4:12. The Bible tells us to judge not lest you be judge. This is because God, our Creator, is the ultimate authority in our lives. God is who determines what is right and what is wrong. Whether we know it or not, God will ultimately judge us. He will not judge us on what we do on the outside. He will judge us by our insides - our heart, our compassion, our faith.

God is My Judge, My Lawgiver, My King, My Savior

Isaiah 33:22. Isaiah 33:22 tells us that “... the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the lord is our king: he will save us.” This scriptures describes God as the ultimate authority in our lives. God is the ultimate Judge in our lives as He alone decides whether we will have eternal life or eternal death.

<< 1 John 4 >> tells us of God's perfect love. God loved us first. Because God loves us, He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to save us. God's love is "agape" love which is defined as unmerited favor. If you love God and your fellowman the way God loves you, you are born of God. God is love, and the only way to know God is to love Him and your fellowman.

Summary. The basic redemption definition is “the act of purchasing back something previously sold”. The Christian redemption definition is “the act of delivering from sin or saving from evil“. These definitions are similar if you realize that in the beginning mankind did not need to be redeemed.

How Can Someone Become a Born Again Christian?

Summary A person becomes a born again Christian when they accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. As sinners we need salvation to save us from God’s wrath toward our sin and disobedience of Him. When we are born again the spirit in us changes. God is now in us in the form of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will keep us from sin, if we let Him.

Why Do We Confess Sins?

Bible Summary. Sin is any thought or action that is against God. When we are in sin we are not in relationship with God. Confessing the sins in our lives is a first step in being reconciled back to God. God, because of His righteous nature, cannot be in the presence of our sinful disobedience. In fact from God's perspective, sin must be destroyed.

Feeling Unloved Because You Are Out of Step With God

Deuteronomy 30:19. When you are having feelings of being unloved, you are in a time of transition. This could be problems with your marriage or any of your relationships. The real problem is your relationship with God. If you are feeling unloved, you are out of relationship with God.

Religious Values Based on Jesus Can Free Us From Sin and Death

Romans 8:2. If we have religious values based on the teachings of Jesus Christ, we can be free from sin and death. We can escape death, the consequence of sin, and have eternal life. All we need to do is accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

Hope, A Christian Value

Romans 8:24. Hope is a core Christian value. Hope is defined as “to believe, desire, or trust”. A Christian's hope is to believe the promises of Jesus Christ that He can redeem mankind and give us eternal life. All we have to do is accept His offer for Him to be our Lord and Savior.
