2 Timothy 2:4. The Bible describes a sanctified person as a soldier in the army. Sanctification is a process where a person is purified of sin and set aside for God's use. Sanctification is a disciplined lifestyle, a soldier's lifestyle.

James 4:8. How can you have a passion for Jesus unless this passion consumes you?

Proverbs 10:26. Lazy people do not have many friends because lazy people are irritating. True friendship consists of a loving relationship. True friends give freely of themselves because they want to and not just to get something in return. Lazy people are not givers. They are freeloaders and takers.

Bible Summary. Intercession is where we pray to God for the sake of another person or for a corporate cause. The Holy Spirit intercedes for us and helps us in our weaknesses. Genesis 4 tells us the story of Cain and Abel. Abel was a keeper of sheep and Cain was a tiller of the ground. Abel brought the Lord an offering of fruit and Abel brought an offering of the firstlings of his flock. God was please with Abel, but not with Cain. God advised Cain to do good in the future, but Cain did not take God's advise.

Romans 14:13. When we become knowledgeable of the Word of God, it is easy to fall into the trap of judging others for their shortcomings. Why is it wrong for us to judge others?

Bible Summary. The essence of our sin nature is to rebel against God. From God's perspective, He must be amazed at the choices we make because of our sin nature. Even when God does good things for us, our sin nature will rebel. God does not suffer rebellion long. His solution for resolving conflict with mankind is chastisement, punishment, and eventually total destruction.

Bible Summary. How many of us are caught up in bad relationships? Many of these relationships are bad because of envy in our hearts?

Summary. When it comes to spiritual warfare the devil has no capability to do us direct harm. He can only do us harm by trickery. The Bible tells us that the devil is the father of lies. We must resist these lies and seek God's truth. Victory in spiritual warfare comes from us submitting to God.

Genesis 25:26: Jacob, the father of the twelve tribes of Israel, started his life as a scam artist. The name Jacob means “heel-catcher, supplanter, cheater, defrauder, deceiver”. Jacob received his name at birth when his mother gave birth to both him and his brother Esau. Jacob's brother was the first born, but Jacob was gripping Esau's heel as he came out of the womb.
