Bible Summary. As a Christian matures a struggle persists between the desire to good and the evil that continues to be present in the flesh. The challenge for Christians is that the knowledge of good and evil does not save a person from sinful desires and consequences of sin. The challenge with acting on our conscience is our human nature is not perfect.

Romans 7:23. Most parents teach their children what is good, and what is evil. If you come from a Christian home or go to church, then your knowledge of good and evil more than likely is correct from God's perspective. We know not to commit adultery, not to lie, not to lust, and so on. The challenge is our human nature is not perfect. All us in some area of our lives desire to do evil.

The illustration of Forgiveness, Peace, Love of neighbors, Love for enemies: Bought a Lawsuit provides us an example of forgiveness and loving your neighbor. In the story, one neighbor threaten a lawsuit with another neighbor because of the placement of a fence over a land boundary. Eventually, the other neighbor sells the land. The neighbor then threatens the new owner with the lawsuit.

Bible Summary. Most bad relationships are a result of vanity, strife, or envy. Many times strife starts off with a simple pat or tease, but then turns into a slap or insult. We need to show love and forgiveness as God loved us first and has forgiven us. Lying and keeping secrets from one another are causes for a bad relationship.

Proverbs 15:1. All of us deal with anger every day. The question is do we deal with it in a way that is pleasing to God. When someone is shouting at us, do we attempt to drown out that shouting with our own shouting. When someone cuts in front of us while we are driving, do we then cut in front of them in anger. When someone gets angry with us, do we get angry with us.

Ephesians 4:31. The Bible tells us that it is our responsibility to stop our anger when it is based on evil intentions. People have so many excuses for being angry. These excuses can include things like being threatened, being hurt, being frustrated, and so on. These may be valid excuses for being angry, but does your angry reaction line up with the Word of God?

Bible Summary. The Bible provides a great examples of how to avoid conflict when dealing with friends and family. To avoid conflict with the people around us, we need to first address the source of the conflict that dwells in us. The best way to avoid conflict is to draw closer to God.

Bible Summary. Pride breaks our relationship with God. It is the source of all arguments, strife, contention, war, fights, and bickering. Romans 2:8. The Bible tells us that there are terrible consequences of being led by our anger. Romans 2:8-9 says, “But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath.
