THE FUTILITY AND FOOLISHNESS OF DENYING GOD
Luke 16:2. Within Christianity the word “stewardship” can have a broad meaning pertaining to a full range of topics from financial management to the giving of tithes and offerings. The question is what is stewardship.
Bible Summary. As many us do, Moses had many excuses before God on why he could not fulfill his calling. First, Moses' response to his calling was to say, “Who am I”. Second, Moses pleaded lack of knowledge in that he did not even know God’s name and what to tell the Israelites.
Exodus 4;13. When Moses encounter God at the burning bush, Moses had many excuses on why he could not fulfill his calling. Moses’ fifth and final excuse was probably closer to the truth than all his other excuses. Moses excuse this time was that he did not desire to fulfill his calling and lead the Israelites out of Egypt.
Exodus 4:10. During Moses’ encounter with God at the burning bush, Moses came up with many excuses for why he could not fulfill his calling. His fourth excuse to God was that his speaking and leadership abilities were lacking.
Exodus 4:1. When Moses was called by God at the burning bush, Moses came up with many excuses as to why he could not fulfill his calling. His third excuse to God was that he did not believe he had the power to fulfill the calling that God had told him to do.
Bible Summary. Instead of giving good excuses, we need to look inside ourselves. For us that our ambitious or prosperous the best excuse is that doing God's purpose in our lives is not convenient. Many of us know that we should go to church on a regular basis, but we always come up with good excuses on not going to church.
Bible Summary. Though God and His supernatural power is invisible to us, all of us in our heart of heart know there is a God and what is right and wrong. From God's perspective there is no excuse for sin. Sin is simply being disobedient to God. God is the our judge. We can not be God where we decide what is right and what is wrong.
