Overcoming Guilt

Bible Summary. When you are in sin you can hide your sin from others, but you cannot hide it from God. You cannot overcome your guilt by hiding your sin from God. To overcome guilt you must first be conscience of your sin, then confess your sins to God, and lastly provide a sin offering to God.

The Wrong Way to Overcome Guilt

In 2 Corinthians 7:9-10, Paul refers to the harshness of his first letter to the Corinthians where he had advised them that they needed to change their ways as Christians.

What Does the Bible Say About Shame and Honor?

Bible Summary. From a Christian perspective, it is better to be shamed by man that to be out of step with God. Jesus was beaten, whipped, humiliated, shamed, and eventually killed on the cross, but he as all Christians are honored by God. Sometimes God uses shame to chastise us in order for us to come into a place of honor with Him.

You Can Be Shamed by Man But Be In the Honor of God

1 Peter 4:16. Would you rather be shamed by man or honored by God?
