Key Faith Scriptures Hebrews 11:1-3 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."

What do you believe? If you should die right now, do you know for sure that you would go to Heaven?

Justification by Faith - A Blessing Of Believing

Acts 13:39. If we believe in Jesus we are justified by faith before God (Acts 13:39, "And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses"). This is a blessing of believing. We are no longer guilty of sin and disobedience. We are justified by faith before God. Through our justification by faith we can be in the presence of God. We are no longer under condemnation for our sins and separated from God. We are able to have a relationship with God forever because we believe that Jesus saved us and offered us eternal life. Without our belief in Jesus we continue as sinners and are condemned by God. We can never be justified before God without believing in Jesus.

ACTS 13 BIBLE SCRIPTURE: Acts 13:39, "And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses."

Justification by Faith – The Only Way To God

Hebrews 11:2. The only way to be justified with God (to be in good standing with Him) is through faith. Faith is how the prophets and elders in the Bible obtained a good report with God (Hebrews 11:2, “For by it the elders obtained a good report”). “By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice...” (Hebrews 11;4). “By faith Enoch ... should not see death” (Hebrews 1:5). “By faith Noah ... prepared an ark...” (Hebrews 11:7). “By faith Abraham ...sojourned in the land of promise..." (Hebrews 11:8-9). In all cases the elders believed, had faith, in God's promises. They did not just do good works, but believed God first. They acted out on faith just as we must do today to have a good report with God.

HEBREWS 11 BIBLE SCRIPTURE Hebrews 11:2, “For by it the elders obtained a good report.”

God’s Love is Unconditional But Saving Grace Is Justified by Our Faith

Romans 5:2. Unlike God’s love, God’s grace is conditional. On the other hand just like love, God offers grace to everyone. The difference between God’s love and saving grace is that grace is only given to ones that have faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Through their faith, Christians can rejoice because of the grace God has given to them (Romans 5:2, “ By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God”). Saving grace is justification by faith. Through God’s grace our relationship with God is restored for eternity.

ROMANS 5 BIBLE SCRIPTURE Romans 5:2, By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”

Saving Grace Is Justified By Our Faith and Not By Our Works

Ephesians 2:8. Unless you totally believe that there is no after-life, all people have a desire to go to Heaven and live forever. Because of God’s love for all of mankind He has offered us a free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. If through faith we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we can receive God’s grace of eternal life. This is the only way that any person can have a relationship with God and eternal life. We cannot have God’s saving grace through our good works or being a pretty good person. God’s grace only comes through Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:“).

EPHESIANS 2 BIBLE SCRIPTURE Ephesians 2:8, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:“

Justification by Faith Brings Us Peace with God

Romans 5:1. Justification by faith is the only way to be in good standing with God and Jesus Christ. Faith comes by us believing in Jesus Christ and God's promises. With us having faith in Jesus Christ, God welcomes us into His presence. Through our faith we are now justified to stand before God – to be at peace with God (Romans 5:1, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:”). Without faith in God's eyes, we are disobedient creatures who remain in sin. No matter how much God loves all of us, He cannot be in the presence of sin and disobedience. It is only through the grace of Jesus Christ , His free gift, that our sins can be covered. We accept that free gift by our faith. We are then justified before God.

ROMANS 5 BIBLE SCRIPTURE Romans 5:1, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:”
