My Beloved Son, in Whom I Am Well Pleased
God’s Will and Pleasure is For Us to Offer Ourselves as Living Sacrifices.
One of the things that pleases God most is for us to love him and to show him that we love him. Words are not enough for God. He takes great pleasure when we voluntarily give of ourselves and willing make sacrifices to tell him to tell him that we love him. Romans 12:1 advises us that God is pleased when we offer our bodies as a living sacrifice.
Romans 12:1, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”

God’s Will and Pleasure is to Have the Wicked Repent and Live.
Even though God hates the wicked, he takes no pleasure in destroying the wicked and unrighteousness. This is good news as none of us are perfect in God’s eyes, and we have all fallen short of his glory. To do God’s will and pleasure, all we need to do is acknowledge our sin and imperfections. Ezekiel 33:11 advises us that it is God’s pleasure to have the wicked repent and live.
Ezekiel 33:11, “Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?”
God’s Will and Pleasure is to Save All of Mankind.
The scriptures tell us that God loves us, and he desires that all of us to have eternal life and know him. This is his will. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we can be saved and have an eternal relationship with God. 1st Timothy 2:4 advises us that it is God’s pleasure that all men be saved and come into the knowledge of the truth.
1st Timothy 2:4, “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”
God’s Will and Pleasure is to Have Mercy on Others.
It pleases God for him to show mercy on us. He does desire for us to do good, but at the same time he is a merciful God. Thank God for that. Romans 9:15 advises us that God will have mercy on whom he will have mercy.
Romans 9:15, “For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”
