Knowledge
Knowledge Is Not To Be Despised over Imagination
Proverbs 1:7. Someone that uses their imagination and has no knowledge is a fool. God is the source of all knowledge while imagination comes from the minds of man. Imagination without the knowledge of God leads to disobedience, sin, and eventual eternal death (Hell). God's knowledge enables us to make right choices that line up with the Word of God and eternal life. With the knowledge of God we can fulfill our Creator's purpose. Imagination is a gift of God, but it must be grounded in knowledge and wisdom that comes from God.
Knowledge of God – Jesus Christ Shining Into Our Heart
2 Corinthians 4:6. The knowledge of God is offered to all of us in the form of Jesus Christ. This new knowledge of God, this mystery, is Jesus Christ who has brought mankind salvation and eternal life . Just as God commanded the light to shine out of the darkness when He created the world; and now God has sent His son as the light of knowledge to the world. Jesus came on this Earth to shine the light of the knowledge of the glory of God into our hearts.
Knowledge of God – Our Strength and Our Salvation
Isaiah 33:6. The knowledge of God enable us to not be moved by our circumstances. The knowledge of God enables us to act the same way in good times and in times of strife. When we have the supernatural knowledge that God is our salvation we can draw strength from Him where others will despair. People who rely totally on their wealth and money will despair when they have no money. People that rely on their wisdom and wits will despair when they get in a situation that makes no sense with their natural wisdom.
Knowledge of God is Better Than Wisdom or Money
Ecclesiastes 7:12. The supernatural knowledge of God is far superior to all the knowledge and resources of man. Studying the accumulative knowledge of man will bring you wisdom, but it is only a worldly wisdom that is of use in this world. This wisdom will not prepare you for spiritual things of life (supernatural things outside your five senses) and for the here-after. Money is much like worldly wisdom. It may provide for your natural needs, but money cannot get you into Heaven. Money is also no assurance of peace and joy in this world.
Secret Knowledge is Truth That God Has Not Revealed to Mankind
Deuteronomy 29:29. Secret knowledge is the providence of God. Organizations that profess to have secret knowledge or truth do not line up with the world of God. God is the source of all knowledge, both revealed knowledge and secret knowledge. When God reveals secret knowledge to a person or group of people, this truth is suppose to be revealed to all of mankind. This is what happened in the Old Testament. God would reveal secret knowledge to a prophet and it was the prophet's purpose to reveal this truth to everyone.
The Secret Knowledge, The Mystery Revealed in the Person of Jesus Christ
Romans 16:26. God is the source of all knowledge, both revealed and secret knowledge. God is who decides what knowledge is revealed to mankind and what knowledge is kept secret. This is what happened almost 2,000 years ago when God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to reveal the greatest mystery to mankind. This mystery was (is) Jesus Christ and His salvation plan for mankind. God in His timing and purpose revealed this great mystery to mankind in the form of Jesus Christ.
God, the Source of Revealed and Secret Knowledge
Daniel 2:22. God is the source of both revealed and secret knowledge. For most people knowledge is usually thought of in terms of man's knowledge, but knowledge and truth is more than what mankind knows. In reality God is the source of truth and knowledge. This is because He is all-powerful, all-present, and all-knowing. He controls the weather, he controls who rules governments, and he is the revealer of knowledge. He knows what is not true (what is in darkness), and what is true (what is in the light).
Christian Virtues – Called To Godly Excellence
2 Peter 1:3. God calls all of us to have Christian virtues. Whether you know it or not, God has called all of us to glory and virtue. Christian virtues can be described as having a godly excellence, a godly goodness, or a godly righteousness. God's calling came to us through Jesus Christ. If we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, God will provide us all that we need in this world and in Heaven. He has the divine power to give us all thing that pertain unto life and godliness.
Refraining From Sin and Being Good is Good Works in Itself
1 Corinthians 6:19. Good works is also refraining from sin. Jesus walked on this Earth and did not sin. His example of a sinless life proves and inspires us that we do not have to sin. We can do the same “good works” of refraining from sin and inspiring others (1 Corinthians 6:19, “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”).
God's Divine Nature Is Love
1 John 4:8. Another side of God’s divine nature is that He is a God of love. "God is love" (1 John 4:8). This love is an "agape" love, an unmerited favor toward someone. God has “agape” love for all of us, for all of mankind. He loves us and desires to provide for us (Psalms 145:16, “Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing”). Even with us falling so short of His glory because of our sin nature, He still loves us.
