Lazy People – A Life Style, Not a Temporary Condition.

A lazy person's schedule is so busy doing nothing that they have no time to do anything. God did not give us resources and a life just to do nothing. Lazy people need to wake up and change their life style.

See Scripture Commentary: Proverbs 6:10 describes a lazy person's useless, but busy lifestyle.

Lazy People are Irritating.

Laziness causes friction in human relationships. People get irritated when lazy people are not pulling their weight. Lazy people value not working and “getting over” more than any relationship.

See Scripture Commentary: Proverbs 10:26 advises us that lazy people are irritating.

Lazy People are Prideful.

In today's society, many of us have become prideful and lazy in our “abundance of idleness”. Living off our wealth, we are prideful and lazy and do not have time for others or God. From God's perspective we are in sin when we are prideful or lazy.

See Scripture Commentary: Ezekiel 16:49 describes lazy people as both lazy and prideful ... describes lazy people as both lazy and prideful.

Lazy People Are No Better Than Thieves and Vandals.

Lazy people take up resources, they consume resources, but they do not add any value to what God has given them. From God's perspective they are waster, and destroyers of the things of God. From God's perspective they are no different from thieves and vandals that just take and destroy, but never give of themselves.

See Scripture Commentary: Proverbs 18:9 advises us that lazy people are wasters and destroyers.

Lazy People Never Move Forward in Life.

Sometimes lazy people give us the illusion that they are being productive members of society. They show or talk about many activities, but the problem is that there is no progress or results.

See Scripture Commentary: Proverbs 26:14 advises us how lazy people can show activity and not make any progress.

Lazy People Think That They Have All the Answers.

Lazy people do not seek God for direction in their lives, nor do they seek advice from others. Lazy people think that they have all the answers.

See Scripture Commentary: Proverbs 26:16 advises us that lazy people are conceited people.
