You Show Your Love Of God’s Truth When You Repent and Obey.

The Bible is God’s truth in written form. The Bible provides the evidence and the truth that there is only one God and that we can only have an everlasting relationship with Him through our mediator, Jesus Christ. Only by us repenting of our sin nature, accepting the salvation of Jesus, and walking in God’s truth can we be saved and be reconciled back to God. Mark 1:15 advises us to repent and believe the truth of the gospel.

Mark 1:15, “And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”

Love The Truth Or You Will Lose Your Belief In God.

Many people do not believe in God because they do not love the truth of God’s word. In a desperate situation people will turn to God, but when things are going OK they will forget God. This is because we do not love God’s truth more than the sin in our lives. 2 Thessalonians 2:10 advises us that the truth brings us salvation.

2nd Thessalonians 2:10, “And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.”

Love The Truth And It Will Work In You.

If you love the truth of God’s word, you will delight in it. As you love the truth more and more, you will gain in faith and assurance of your salvation. The word of God will start to work within you as your love of the truth grows. 1st Thessalonians 2:13 advises us that the Word of God is the truth that will change you.

1st Thessalonians 2:13, “For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.”

Love Truth; Do Not Trust Lies.

The issue with trust is that people will mistake a promise for a truth. Just because you trust in someone’s honesty does not make them honest. It is easy to trust in lies because it makes us feel good and gives us false hope. From a Christian perspective, false promises lead us away from truth and into sin based on disobedience to God. Isaiah 59:4 advises us on how easy it is for us to trust lies more than the truth.

Isaiah 59:4, “None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
