Washing of Feet - Example of a Simple Good Work That Changed Lives

John 13:14. Even Jesus’ simplest acts were life-changing. The washing of feet is an example of good works that displayed God’s love for us (John 13:14, “If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet”). By this simple act, Jesus corrected His disciples thinking about personal relationships.

If The Lord Is Our Shepherd, Why Do We Lack?

Psalms 23:1. The 23rd Palms say, "The Lord is our shepherd. We shall not want." If this is true, why do we lack?

Good Sheep Rely On God. Baah!

Psalms 23:1. Psalms 23 teaches us that we have a good shepherd that will take care of all of our needs. If God is our Shepherd, then we are His sheep. As a good sheep we rely on God for all of our needs. If we do not stay close to God or listen to Him, we will go astray and go lacking. A sheep with the Lord as it's shepherd is powerful and can take on any challenge of this world. Be a good sheep with a good shepherd. Baah! Baah!

PSALMS 23 BIBLE SCRIPTURE: Psalms 23:1, "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Help Me, Do Not Treat Me With Injustice

Colossians 4:1. Are we fair to people in every area of our lives? Do we treat everyone equally? Many people are crying out and saying help me from injustice, but what is our response. When a beggar says help me, I need food. Do we feed them? When a young boy says help me, I'm being hazed at school, do we do something about it? When people are gossiping about the shortcomings of other people, do we join in on the gossip or help the person being talked about. When an old lady on the street says help me I'm being robbed, do we come to her rescue?

You Can Serve Only One Master

Matthew 6:24. The Bible teaches us that we cannot serve two masters (Matthew 6:24, "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."). We either serve God or serve sin (things not of God). We cannot choose to serve both. If we love God, we will hate sin. If we love sin, we will hate God.
