The Mystery of Godliness Made Clear in Jesus Christ

1 Timothy 3:16. When Jesus walked on this Earth He revealed to us about the nature of God and His Godliness. Jesus came to us as God, the Son, in human form and revealed to us the godliness of His loving and righteous nature. Jesus revealed the full nature of God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Jesus as a God-man revealed to mankind the Great Mystery of godliness.

How To Have Self-Control – Focus on The Mind, Not Your Habit

2 Corinthians 10:4. If we are looking for how to have self-control in our lives, most quick-fix plans focus on breaking our habits. Examples of quick-fix plans include smoking patches, diet pills, seminars, and so on. These quick-fix plans focus on our habits, when the real problem is in our mind and thoughts. The Bible teaches us that the real battle for self-control is in our mind . The bad habits that we have are really symptoms of sinful strongholds in our mind. What most of us think are bad habits are also considered to be sin to God.

How To Have Self-Control – Follow Jesus

Romans 13:14. There is really only one method on how to have self-control in your life and that is through following Jesus' example. We can try all types of quick-fix, multiple-step plans, but the only complete solution for self-control is to follow Jesus. Most of us desire to have self-control in our lives in order to do what is right and not do things that in the long term will hurt us. The problem is that most of us do not achieve complete self-control in our lives. We may have self-control over many aspects of our lives, but there always seems to be one vice that we cannot control.

Love Ones - Trust Them As Well As We Love Them?

Isaiah 30:3. It is easy to think that love and trust go together, but the Bible teach us not to trust man or the things of this world. The only one we should both love and trust is God. We can love our fellow man, but we should only put our total trust and faith in God. When we put our faith and trust in someone or something above God, we are wrong. We must trust God more than our closest love ones. Putting our trust in someone other than God will eventually put us to shame.

Trust Definition - Trust God, Not Things

Psalms 49:6. From a Christian perspective, the definition of trust means trusting God and not other things. Many people put their trust in wealth and the promises of wealth over God. Most people gamble and play the lottery because there is a promise of wealth if they win. By their actions, they have more hope on winning the lottery than hope in God that He will come through for them.

Definition of Perfection - Mankind Can Be Perfect in God

2 Corinthians 7:1. The definition of perfection includes "completely suited for a particular purpose - completely corresponding to a description, standard, or type". From a Christian perspective, this definition of perfection means that perfection is all about us being holy. God has made us for His purpose to be holy and worship Him. Through the Bible He has given us His promises and standards to guide us in our daily lives. His Bible teaches us how to be without sin (to be obedient). He desires for us to line up with His standards and to be perfect and holy.

Refraining From Sin and Being Good is Good Works in Itself

1 Corinthians 6:19. Good works is also refraining from sin. Jesus walked on this Earth and did not sin. His example of a sinless life proves and inspires us that we do not have to sin. We can do the same “good works” of refraining from sin and inspiring others (1 Corinthians 6:19, “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”).

God Will Punish the Slothful and Reward the Industrious

Matthew 25:29. God desires everyone to be industrious. God has made this world and has made us stewards over His resources. He expects us to be industrious with His resources. Just as in Jesus’ Parables of the Gold Talents, the more talents and resources God gives us, the more He expects of us. Even if you have limited resources, God expects you to do the best with what you have.

Biblical Creation Accounts For The Natural And Supernatural

Revelations 4:11. God created us and the universe for His own purpose (Revelations 4:11, "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.") The actual creation process is a supernatural act. Evolution theory theorizes the natural selection process, but it does not account for the origin of matter, life, or our own soul.

The Evidence Of the Supernatural

2 Corinthians 4:18. The supernatural (the not seen) of this world is evident by miracles and unexplained phenomenon. Many miracles can be explained away, but much of it cannot. The actual creation of this world was a miracle not explained by natural phenomenon (the seen). Even for those that believe in evolution, they cannot provide a reasonable account of how life and matter got started. Evolution and the "Big Bang" theory have a supernatural, underlying assumption. That assumption being a supernatural, eternal power (God) who would have had to set off the "big bang".
