Peace

Justification by Faith Brings Us Peace with God

Romans 5:1. Justification by faith is the only way to be in good standing with God and Jesus Christ. Faith comes by us believing in Jesus Christ and God's promises. With us having faith in Jesus Christ, God welcomes us into His presence. Through our faith we are now justified to stand before God – to be at peace with God (Romans 5:1, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:”). Without faith in God's eyes, we are disobedient creatures who remain in sin.

The Way To Happiness Is Being Filled With Hope Everyday

Romans 15:13. Having hope is a wondrous thing that is a necessity on your way to happiness. Without hope most things cannot be accomplished. Hope gives you energy and motivation to reach your goal. If you had no hope that you will be paid on your job, would you even go to work?

A High-Minded Social Conscience Does Not Please God

Acts 24:16. If you live by the highest social conscience of society, this will not get you into heaven. You are at best pleasing man, and not necessarily pleasing God. Many people think that because they are pretty good people they are pleasing God. This is not true because God is a righteous God. By His nature He can only accept perfection, not just pretty good. Because He is also a God of love, He has given us a way to be acceptable to Him. He did this by sending His Son to save us and pay the price our imperfections.

The Secret of Happiness Is To Have Joy In The Holy Ghost

Romans 14:17. Having the Holy Ghost in our lives is the secret of happiness. The Holy Ghost provides us direction and encouragement to be in right standing with God. Without the Holy Ghost in our lives we are left to our own devices that result in sin and ultimately death. For us that have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we have the spirit of God in us. The Holy Ghost in us helps us to stay in right standing with God.

A Good Conscience Is Not An Offense To God or To Man

Acts 24:16. The Bible says that nothing is good unless it come from God (Luke 19:18, "And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God."). From God's perspective a conscience can only be good if it is based on God's standards. In order for a conscience to be good it must not be an offence toward God or toward men (Acts 24:16, "And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men").

God Help Us by Giving Us Peace

2 Thessalonians 3:16. If we desire peace in our lives, God will help us. The only way for us to receive peace in our lives is through Jesus Christ. There is no Earthly thing that can give us peace. No amount of riches, fame, or attempts to fulfill our flesh will give us peace. When our sole objective is to fulfill our flesh, we will never be satisfied because we will want more and more. That is the nature of our flesh. The only way for us to have peace in our lives is by asking God to help us.

Be Free From Strife Or You Will Get Bit

John 14:27. Many times you may not be the source of strife, but then you get caught up in it. Someone may be boasting, and then you start boasting. Someone attempts to take something of yours and then you take something of theirs. Someone hits you, you hit them back. Proverbs 26:17 says that participating in someone else's strife "...is like one that taketh a dog by the ears." You do not want to go there. When strife comes from others, consult God on how to respond. If we participate in these "dog eat dog" situations we will get bit.

Peace Comes With A Close Father-Child Relationship

A Christian father can bring great peace to a child. A child can learn, receive, hear, and see from their father which in turn will give the child assurance and peace in the future (Philippians 4:9, "Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you"). Without that close father-child relationship a child can be directionless and have no peace about his or her future.

BIBLE SCRIPTURE: Philippians 4:9, "Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you."

Difference Between Love And Lust - Love Is Unselfish

1 Corinthians 13:5. Another key difference between love and lust is that love is completely unselfish. Love has compassion for the object of its affection. Christian love is "agape" love, a love that offers unmerited favor. Its affection does not expect anything in return. Love's objects include God and other people. Love is a giver that helps a brother in need with no expectation of getting anything in return. Love is just the opposite of lust.

Define Conscience As Jesus, the Highest Standard That You Seek

Isaiah 11:10. Jesus came on this earth as a standard for all of mankind to follow. He showed us how to love God and to love our neighbor. He is a standard for everyone. If we seek Jesus and put His sinless standard in our heart, we will sin no more and have peace (Isaiah 11:10, "And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious").
