Prosperity (Nobility) – One of the Conditions of Society

Nobility / Prosperity, One of the Four Conditions of Society

The Bible Tells Us God Gives Us the Power to be Prosperous.

The Bible tells us that prosperity does not come from our own power, but by the power of God. It is only if we believe in God through Jesus Christ that we can prosper both spiritually and materially. Any other route to prosperity will result in sin and the ugly consequences of sin. Deuteronomy 8:188 advises us to keep God first in our lives as he alone has the power for us to get wealth.

Deuteronomy 8:18, “But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that the may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”

Know and Meditate on the Bible And You Will be Prosperous.

From a Christian perspective, daily Bible study and prayer is key to our prosperity. The Bible is God’s guidebook for us to lead prosperous and successful lives. There are numerous examples in the Bible of God promising prosperity by following God’s word. In Joshua 1:8 God tells Joshua to meditate on the book of the law day and night so that he may prosper.

Joshua 1:8, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night. that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

Bible Tells Us That God Has Pleasure in Christians Being Prosperous.

The Bible tells us that God has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. We who have faith and we who favor a righteous cause shall shout for joy. Psalm 35:27 advises us to continually magnify the Lord who has pleasure in the prosperity of his servants.

Psalm 35:27, “Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”

Bible Tells Us That If We Delight in God, We Will Be Prosperous.

The Bible tells us that if we delight in the Lord, it follows that God will make us prosper and fulfill the desires of our heart. Delight in the Lord is having a true love of God. We love him always because he is God. Prosperity is a by-product of our relationship with God and not the reason for our loving relationship with God. Jeremiah 17:8 tells us that those that trust God are like a tree planted by the water that are sustained and fruitful even in drought.

Jeremiah 17:8, “For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.”
