Avoid Conflict by Drawing Closer to God

Psalms 31:20. Most of us desire to avoid conflict and strife in our lives. We desire peace. The best way to avoid conflict is to draw closer to God. If you call on Him, He will protect you. No matter what pressures and conflict man can bring upon you, God will protect you. No matter what lies people tell about you, God will protect you. All we need to do is accept His will and stop relying on man or ourselves.

Good Values – Seeking God's Love and Mercy

Jude 21. Good values come from God. The Bible teaches us that we must value God above everything else. Jude 21 says, “Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life”. Keeping ourselves in the love of God is the ultimate, good value. God is love and His love is what we should value above all things. The only way for us to keep ourselves in the love of God is by seeking and accepting the mercy of Jesus Christ. Jesus is our Lord and Savior. Only through Him can we keep ourselves in the love of God.

Purpose of Government – Based on the Ten Commandments

Exodus 20:6. The purpose of Government is to encourage people to do right. What is right and what is wrong is an age-old question, but from a Christian perspective what is right is embodied in the Ten Commandments. Specifically, God gave the Ten Commandments to the Israelites as a basis for them to live right. God's covenant in regard to the Ten Commandments is stated in Exodus 20:6 saying, “And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments”. The Israelites would be blessed if they loved God and followed God's commandments.

Christian Need Patience For Ministry and To Set The Example

2 Corinthians 6:4. Christians need patience to minister to people. Patience is needed both to make sure we do not offend anyone when ministering and to assure that we set a good Christian example. Ministry today can be a test of endurance just as it was in the days of the Apostle Paul.

The Bible Says Keep Your Heart Under Self-Control

Proverbs 4:23. The Bible says, "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life" (Proverbs 4:23). We may see our circumstances or even our own natural abilities as our biggest problems, but it is really our heart where problems start and end. If we strive daily to keep our heart in check, bad thoughts and actions will cease from materializing in our lives. If we focus our hearts on God, the source of all goodness and love, we will keep our heart under self-control.

Christian Diligence – Keeping Diligence Over Your Heart

Proverbs 4:23. Christians must continually have diligence over their heart. Out of our human heart springs either good or evil. With Christian diligence based on faith, we can overcome the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life”). Faith enables us to surrender our trust completely to God. Our Christian diligence to do good (versus evil) is the ultimate exercise in our faith to show our love and trust of God.

To Be Without A Conscience

Romans 2:14. The Bible tells us that God made everyone with a conscience. The Bible goes on to say that everyone's conscience has God's standards written in them of what is good and what is bad (Romans 2:14-15, "For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;").

Christian Spiritual Warfare: Put on the Mind of Christ Versus Following Our Imagination

2 Corinthians 10:5. In warfare, military objectives usually focus on the destruction of an enemy or the gaining of a territory. The objective of Christian spiritual warfare is territorial in nature. The territory in this case is the human mind.
