Instructions for Following the Seven Stages of Christian Growth
2 Peter 1:5-7 provides instruction on the seven stages of Christian growth.
The seven stages of Christian growth are:

1. Virtue - called to moral excellence, goodness, and righteousness
2. Knowledge - discover the knowledge of God
3. Temperance - self-control to obtain an incorruptible crown
4. Patience - with patience there is hope; with hope there is patience
5. Godliness - the great mystery of Godliness
6. Kindness - rooted in the grace, mercy, and compassion of God
7. Love - agape love - unconditional favor and devotion to the well being of others
Prerequisites For Christian Growth. Each of the Seven Stages of Christian Growth adds on to the former growth stage. The prerequisites needed for completing and adding on to each stage of Christian Growth are:
Faith - believe in God's promises as reveal to us through Jesus Christ
Diligence - giving all diligence to mature in Christ
2 Peter 1:5-7, “And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity”
