The Holy Spirit Equips Us For Spiritual Warfare.
By us surrendering to the Spirit of God in us, we can be fully equipped and led by the Spirit. By us being spiritually minded we can conduct spiritual warfare and take hold of the mind of Christ. The mind of Christ is the objective of spiritual warfare. Romans 8:4 advises us about walking in the Spirit.
Romans 8:4, “That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”
You Are Only Equipped For Spiritual Warfare If The Spirit of God Is In You.
When you are sinning and in the flesh, the Spirit of God is not in you. If you are in the flesh, you do not have the capability to be successful in spiritual warfare. Only when the Spirit of God is in you can you be equipped to do Spiritual battle. Romans 8:9 advises us that God is with us when we have the Holy Spirit in us.
Romans 8:9, “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”,/i>
Through Spiritual Warfare The Holy Spirit Kills the Flesh in You.
Only through the Holy Spirit can we kill the deeds of the flesh and take on the mind of Christ. The Holy Spirit gives us spiritual life eternally. When the Holy Spirit is in us we no longer let Satan’s deception defeat us by living after the flesh. Romans 8:13 advises us how the Holy Spirit kills the flesh in us.
Romans 8:13, “For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.”
The Holy Spirit Encourages Us in Spiritual Warfare.
The Holy Ghost reminds us and encourages us that we no longer need to be bound in fear. With the Holy Spirit in us we have received the Spirit of adoption. Spiritually we are now a child of God and a brother of Jesus. Romans 8:16 advises us that the Holy Spirit in us is evidence that we are children of God.
