Intercession Causes God’s Promises to Be Realized in Spiritual Warfare.
Intercession is where we pray to God for the sake of another person or for a corporate cause. Many of the best prayers and intercessory prayers are when we remind God of His promises. Isaiah 62:7 advises us to give God no rest in intersession until He fulfills His promises.
Isaiah 62:7, “And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.”
Intercession in Spiritual Warfare Brings Blessings.
The Holy Spirit shows us how to make intersession for others. Even when we do know what to pray for, the Holy Spirit will guide us and lead us in spiritual warfare. Romans 8:26 advises us on how the Holy Spirit intercedes for us and helps us in our weaknesses.
Romans 8:26, “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”
Intercession is a Spiritual Warfare Weapon to Bring God Into the Fight.
If you totally surrender to God’s will, your intercessory prayers will bring God into the fight. This is what spiritual warfare and intersession are all about. If we are of God and what we are asking for is Godly, God will answer our prayers. Jeremiah 27:18 advises us that God will act on our intercessions if we are of Him.
Jeremiah 27:18, “But if they be prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.”
