Denial

Once You Hear God's Word, You Have No Excuse

John 15:22. From God's perspective there is no excuse for sin. Sin is simply being disobedient to God. It is in our human nature to sin. Sin started with Adam and Eve, our forefathers, in the Garden of Eden. Even though humans have a tendency to sin (steal, lust, idolize, and so on), we know in our heart of hearts that we are wrong. In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve knew they had sinned against God and they attempted to clothe their nakedness, their shame. If we think about it, we all know when we are wrong and in disobedience to God.

Miracles - The Supernatural In The Natural World

Acts 4:16. The natural and supernatural both exist in our lives. We cannot deny it. It is important to see the supernatural that is in our lives. If we deceive ourselves that there is no supernatural power, we are basically denying that there is a God. God puts miracles in our lives to manifest His glory and to reinforce our faith (John 2:11, "This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him").

God Will Not Put Up With Selfish Behavior

Psalms 101:4. If you display selfish behavior with God or your neighbor, God will not put up with you for very long. Because God is a righteous God, He cannot be in the presence of the proud. The proud place more honor on themselves than God. God counts this type of person as wicked and He will not know him. Neither will God put up with a proud person that slanders his neighbor. God will not suffer anyone that has a proud heart against God or his fellowman (Psalms 101:3-4).

A New Man Shows He Knows God By Doing Good Works

Titus 1:16. A new man knows God and is in constant fellowship with God. The evidence that the new man loves God is his good works. The new man does things that are in fellowship with God such as praying, helping the poor, loving his fellow man, and being patient with people. By good works the new man proves his love of God. The old man is just the opposite. He may say he knows God, but his works provides evidence that he is out of fellowship with God.

Define Delusions - The Cares Of This World Cause You To Forget God

Proverbs 30:9. You can define delusions as ignoring truth or unknowingly living out a lie. Many people do this when following a purpose in their lives that is contrary to God. From a Christian perspective, the real truth is that we are here for God’s purpose and that He will provide for our needs. By us getting caught up in the cares of this world, both the rich and the poor among us replace God’s truth with a lie. The rich get deluded into thinking that they can provide for themselves, and they soon forget God.
