Why Do We Ask The Question, Is There A God?

Our sin nature continues to ask the question, "is there a God", because we desire to do things our way and not God's way. Because of our pride, our lusts, and our ignorance we deny God so that we can decide what is right and wrong. Denying God is a fruitless course of action. There is too much evidence in the world, to include the actual creation of world, to deny and ask "is there a God". Just because we do not know God does not mean He does not exist. See below for more commentary and Biblical advice on the question, “is there a God”.

Human Kindness is All About Having Mercy Toward Others

2 Samuel 9:3. Human kindness is closely linked to the concept of mercy. Mercy is defined in the dictionary as “compassionate or kindly forbearance shown toward an offender, an enemy, or other person in one's power; compassion, pity, or benevolence:”. To have mercy on someone is at the heart of human kindness. It is easy to be nice to someone who is nice to you, but what about people that have hurt you, people that you supervise or control, people that hate you, and people that are just plain bad?

Best Type of Government – Representative, Authoritarian, Theocracy?

1 Samuel 8:5. People can argue all day on what is the best type of government be it representative, authoritarian, or even a theocracy. A more important consideration is who should lead the Government.

Full Of Yourself? You Have No Respect Of God

Psalms 73:11. When you are full of yourself you have no room for God. Even if you know God, you will question His wisdom putting your knowledge above Him (Psalms 73:11, "And they say, how doth God know? And is there knowledge in the most High?"). This is what happened with Adam and Eve. They began to put their wisdom before God's wisdom when they decided to eat of the forbidden fruit. With the devil's urging they began to think they could be as wise as God. They started to focus on what satisfied their pride and not on pleasing or being obedient to God.
